Prevention & Early Intervention Services
Service Areas Include: Ukiah, Redwood Valley, Willits, Laytonville, and Fort Bragg.
MCYP’s experienced Youth Workers provide support services and activities in the schools and in communities. Services are designed to meet the needs of students and schools and may include one on one crisis counseling, peer support groups, evidence based prevention education for anti-bullying programs, alcohol and other drugs, mental health awareness, communication skills, and Positive Youth Development prevention activities.
Drop In Centers/ Teen Lounges/ Clothes Closets
Ukiah: at the Youth Action Program, MCYP. Drop In Center and 2bu Clothes Closet. Access during regular business hours or by appointment
Willits: at the Willits High School, MCYP Teen Lounge and Clothes Closet. Access during school hours or by appointment.
Fort Bragg: at the MCYP Teen Lounge, adjacent to the high school. Access during school, after school or by appointment
Youth workers serve youth in the greater Ukiah area, Willits, Laytonville, Fort Bragg, Mendocino, and Gualala.
Youth Crisis Line: Our Youth Workers are available 24/7 to respond to teens in crisis who are between the ages of 12 to 18. Call (707) 463-HELP
Linked Up: In Ukiah, youth over age 12 receive free clothing and accessories at the Liked Up Clothes Closet, and can become active in our Youth Action Program that focuses on building self confidence, improving overall school performance, job readiness, and helping others.
